Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy applies to the ResumeAhead website, resume builder, document-generation features, and support communications. ResumeAhead is operated by Big Red Rabbit LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (we, us, or our).
This policy describes the current public version of the service, which does not require an account and does not provide cloud-saved resume libraries. A future feature that changes these practices will require an updated notice before it is introduced.
Information we handle
The information involved depends on how you use ResumeAhead. You decide what resume content to enter and what information to include when contacting us.
- Resume content: contact details, work history, education, skills, summaries, and other information you add to a draft.
- Document-generation data: the resume HTML or other content needed to produce a requested export.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, request time, referring page, error information, and security or performance events that web infrastructure normally processes.
- Support data: your email address, message, attachments, and any other information you send to support@resumeahead.com.
Your resume is saved in your browser
Your active resume draft is saved only in your browser's local storage in the current version of ResumeAhead. The application does not upload that saved draft to a ResumeAhead account or resume database.
Local browser data remains under the control of your browser and device. ResumeAhead cannot view, recover, synchronize, or remotely delete that local copy. It may disappear if you clear site data, use private browsing, reset the builder, change devices, or use a different browser.
Transient cloud document generation
Some exports can be generated locally. When a requested feature uses server-assisted generation, the content needed for that request is transmitted securely to cloud infrastructure and processed transiently to return the requested document.
Our application does not persist the resume content from that generation request in an application database or cloud resume library. The processing instance releases the content when the request completes. Infrastructure providers may retain limited technical logs for security, reliability, debugging, and abuse prevention; those logs are not intended to contain or recreate the resume document.
How and why we use information
We handle information only as reasonably necessary to provide the service, respond to users, operate the website, and protect ResumeAhead and its users. Depending on where you live, the legal basis may be performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with law, or your consent where required.
- Provide the builder and generate documents you request.
- Maintain website performance, diagnose errors, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Answer support, privacy, security, and accessibility messages.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Improve the product using aggregated or de-identified observations where reasonably possible.
Service providers and disclosures
We may disclose limited information to vendors that provide hosting, content delivery, security, error handling, email, and document-generation infrastructure. Cloudflare provides important hosting and browser-rendering infrastructure for the current production architecture. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own legal obligations.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets subject to appropriate protections.
We do not currently sell personal information, rent resume content, or use resume content for third-party behavioral advertising.
How long information is kept
The retention period depends on the type of information and why it is handled.
- Resume drafts in local storage remain until you reset the builder or your browser or device removes the site data.
- Resume content used for server-assisted generation is not persisted by our application after the generation request completes.
- Technical logs may be kept for a limited period based on security, reliability, legal, and infrastructure needs.
- Support communications may be retained as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain business records, protect legal rights, and comply with law.
International processing
ResumeAhead is offered globally and operated by a United States company. Information handled by us or our providers may be processed in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live.
Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or additional safeguard, we will use appropriate contractual or other recognized protections.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection concerning personal information held by us, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also be entitled to complain to your local data protection authority.
Most resume content is held only in your browser, so the fastest way to remove it is to reset the builder or clear ResumeAhead site data in that browser. We cannot remotely access or delete information that exists only on your device.
Email us to exercise an applicable privacy right. We may need to verify your request and may retain information where permitted or required by law. Authorized agents may submit requests where local law allows them to do so.
Children and young users
ResumeAhead is a general-audience job-seeking service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the service.
If you are below the age at which you can agree to these terms or consent to data processing where you live, use ResumeAhead only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child provided information to us inappropriately, contact us so we can review the situation.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information during transmission and processing. No website, device, or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Avoid placing information in a resume that is not needed for a job application. On a shared device, clear the draft and browser data when you finish.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The Last updated date identifies the current version. Material changes will be presented in a reasonably prominent way when required.
